The movement of stone

N. Lygeros

Translated from the Greek by Angeliki Papadopoulou

When we look at the stones, we only see their immobility.
This is our nonsense; not reality.
Otherwise time also would be still.
Domination of time doesn't reset
resistance of time.
Every stone
is one resistance.
It doesn't want to forget.
That's why it is moving only in time,
the sea of stone
where ships sink
when they can' t see
the beacons of Humanity.
Grab the stone, don't move
and as long as you hold it, as far as you will travel,
for the part known
only by Humanity.
For, it is only
with the movement of stone
you can find it.
It is there where I' ll be waiting for you.
