Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias

The Minos reserve which is located on marine plot 14 of the Greek EEZ, must be as a target filled with natural gas, because it’s basically sitting on the Olympic field, which has 19 active mud volcanoes.
And that means that even at this stage they emit natural gas.
In other words we are not dealing only with deposits of another era, but with stocks which continue to be enhanced.
Even based on our most conservative estimates, this practically means that the Minos reserve will contribute a further 4 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and this will be in an area from which the East Med natural gas pipeline will pass, which supplies the European Union with the strategic reserves of Cyprus and Greece, in conjunction with those of Lebanon and Israel.
Therefore the Minos reserve will play an important role, not only because of its size but also its position.
Because it constitutes a piece upon the energean chessboard, which is located in a strategic position.
Ιn this manner, it will help, as should be done, in the geopolitical upgrading of Greece, not only within the European Union, but also in the Eastern Mediterranean.
It is therefore necessary for more precise seismic surveys to take place in the region of the reserve, both 2D and 3D, in order to have an effective picture, which will help prepare for the drilling , and for its utilization.
