21253 - Elections and voting are not government
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
We are definitely the country of Democracy and no one can steal this title from us, as it is one of the many achievements of Hellenism.
This Democracy has become a tradition for our nation, and understandably we consider it to be necessary for our, and for other countries as well.
Yet again, there shouldn’t be a misunderstanding, in the sense that, elections and votes are not government.
There are some of our own who like to vote, just so they can recall their student years, unionism, etc.
But there is a magnitude difference, because it’s in regards to Greece, and we are talking about a nation.
We are not talking about local movements which are involving only a few individuals, even if they seem many more.
This concerns the Greek nation, it concerns people who are suffering unnecessarily, simply because there was neither ability nor professionalism.
You can’t be a novice, to lay claim for a position, to actually get it, to make a mess out of it, and because they accuse you, to use as a permanent excuse that you’re a beginner.
It is not in this manner that we help Greece.
Words and theories which have never been applied anywhere are just fine, but actual fact what remains is the strategic gap.
How can you claim that you are helping, when you are wasting so much time to do something just for appearances sake.
Endless negotiations, for no apparent reason, just because you didn’t want to play seriously.
References to energean issues without any implementation.
Entire lectures on pipelines, which probably will never occur, because there has been changes in geopolitical plans, without you even been aware.
Because when you examine everything through the political party, and not the homeland and or the nation, in the end you forget the substance.
Because authority for authority’s sake doesn’t interest us.
Of course when you’re incompetent in producing a task, you can hide behind legal and bureaucratic excuses, but of course in the end everyone understands how void your ideology is, which never contemplated how a government functions, not an innovative government, but merely a government without frills and furbelows.
