21914 - Propaganda as a tool of hopelessness

Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
What is the reason in only using inferior level propaganda, which is doomed to be revealed?
In actual fact, it is in despair that some pictures are used by the press in regards to conflicts, with an aim to set targets without any basis.
A typical example is one regarding the Western Sahara.
On the 12th of November 2010, the Spanish agency EFE distributed a photo of children injured in the head, and receiving hospital care.
The agency claimed that it was portaying” the victims of the Moroccan repression.”
This photo was republished by the major newspapers El Pais and El Mundo.
In actual fact, this photo was captured in Gaza in 2006.
Additionally, the specific organization had never sent any photographer to Laâyoune.
As a result, it took pictures from the internet, to enhance its fake content.
Another example, but along the same context again, goes as follows:, the Spanish channel Antena 3, on November 13, 2010 published in its newspaper a picture with three corpses from events that occourred in Laâyoune.
In actual fact, this photo was published in a newspaper, in the short stories section, on the 26 of January 2010.
These cases were convicted thereafter in court, but the question we may, and are entitled to ask is: what is the purpose of this misinformation?
Because in the end, everyone knew what they really were.
These cases prove, that the lack of dignity leads to absence of media which would be able to serve the purpose of the objectives, but in vain, because the history of Western Sahara continues without these offenses.
