With the initiatial extracting of the Greek zeolite in the Kokkalo region near Petrota, Thrace launches into a new era regarding its development.
It certainly isn’t the utilization of merely three deposits which will change all the data, but this innovation has a future.
Initially, no one believed that the project was possible to reach fruition, and as a result there was a great battle to be given for the recognition of the value of the Greek zeolite.
But now it’s all regarding a reality which we will observe and will follow closely.
For Thrace’s sake, it’s important for others to follow the example of George Georgiadis, so that the creation of a zeolite processing plant will soon occur in Thrace itself.
This processing procedure can not take place immediately in Thrace of course, and so, at present the zeolite processing will be done in a factory at Thessaloniki.
But it is important, now that the first step on a practical level was made, that we should all realize the value of such production within Thrace, since it’s within this region that the largest deposits of Greece are situated.
Thrace is in need of development, both at an economic, but also at a strategic level, because it itself is of great value for Hellenism.
Additionally, a local production will aid, so that a protected designation of origin initiation should become more effective.
The Greek zeolite will become a symbol for our Thrace, and not merely a product amongst others.
Consequently, it makes sense to move dynamically in this path which has just opened up.
