29464 - Human advice
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias
The machines were carrying out orders and nothing else. Whereas the monster followed advice. In this sense he was hyperhumane. And less predictable to barbarism, because he functioned intuitively. His thoughts were not simply a series of algorithms, the neural network of Humanity was the context. His field was its conscience. The action field its intelligence, and the battlefield its struggle against barbarism. For this reason, he was his other self. In the past they had told him, that if there were a dozen like him, the world would have been different. He had crossed through the epochs, in order to realize that he had to create the analogous, and not the same. In other words, the complementary one, in order to continue together, a battle which lasted for over a thousand years. That’s how the forbidden task force was born, and the monster was one of the first members. He held the keys of the code of the blue, and he was following the path of the task to the end, but now it was afterwards, and he was glad that they did meet again after the cycle change.
