Morocco’s reintegration to the African Union represents a historic event for the entire continent. Of course we had to wait until year 2017 in order to witness the implementation of an enduring vision. It is difficult for this success of the Moroccan diplomacy, as well that of the royal initiative to be described. Because it constitutes a strategic achievement which implements new data into the African region as such. In fact, the primary purpose is not the mere correction of a process that had failed in the past, but regarding a step forward towards the implementation of an African vision which entails the total of the countries of this continent. This Moroccan feat also constitutes an achievement of an alliance of the African countries, which well enough understood the advantages arising from the reintegration of Morocco, and its commitment towards the goal, ie, the overall development of Africa. For the Moroccan people this reintegration is certainly a liberation from a sort of slavery, and this allows us to visualize a completely different future without constraints. That aside, we must realize that the biggest achievement is that of Africa itself, because through the restoration of this fundamental entity, the African Union can now count on, and rely on, Morocco’s Africanization, while its role is not now limited to a specific field and merely to a local vision, but on the contrary, to an activity which concerns the entire Africa, and in a holistic manner at that, because Morocco doesn’t further play on its own. It’s able to create a collectiveness in order to bring the African continent to a dynamic level, which due to its size is able to view the future in a much more tranquil manner, and yet again a more humane one, as it’s proposing joint functions and actions. Consequently, it’s regarding a small step forward for Morocco, and a big forward leap for Africa.
