Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias

Morocco belongs to the Arab Maghreb Union which was founded in 1989 and it’s constituted by five Member States.
It also belongs to the Community of Sahel-Saharan States which was established in 1998 and it’s constituted by 28 Member States.
Without also forgetting that it belongs to the Union for the Mediterranean as well, which was created in 2008.
Within this context, its reintegration into the African Union which took place in 2017, represents an achievement since it can now play its full geopolitical role.
In this manner, Morocco fully assumes its role as a global African state, since it’s not content to a mere local limitation to which certain States which don’t respect the International Law would like to reduce it to.
For this reason, Morocco can now not only effectively defend itself against unacceptable attacks, but to also let other African States to freely express themselves without the fear of being distanced for ideological reasons.
That in mind, Morocco has expanded its geopolitical sufficiency.
