Η μελέτη του αρχειακού αμερικανικού υλικού και ειδικά της καταγραφής των πρακτικών στη Washington αποδεικνύει ότι και οι Αμερικανοί όταν αναλύουν την εισβολή Attila I στην Κύπρο την βλέπουν ως ανίκανη και αναποτελεσματική ενώ υπάρχει τεράστια διαφορά σε στρατιωτικό επίπεδο. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο δεν υπάρχει καμία ηττοπάθεια και μόνο αξιολόγηση της κατάστασης. Το σημαντικό επίσης είναι ότι δεν πρόκειται για κείμενα που ήταν γραμμένα για να πείσουν κάποιον άλλον. Είμαστε σε ένα καθαρό αμερικάνικο πλαίσιο στη Washington μεταξύ Aμερικανών. Τα στοιχεία της καταγραφής δείχνουν τι σκέφτεται και τι λέει ο Nixon, ο Kissinger και τα μέλη του επιτελείου. Βλέπουμε αναφορές που πιστοποιούν την υπερεκτίμηση των Τούρκων για τις δυνάμεις τους και την υποτίμηση για την αντίσταση των Ελλήνων. Έτσι ζούμε ζωντανά μέσα στο αμερικανικό επιτελείο την έκπληξη που ζουν και την αξιολόγηση της κατάστασης δηλαδή ότι οι Τούρκοι είχαν πάνω στο έδαφος της Κύπρου καλύτερη θέση παρά μετά την εισβολή με τον Attila I.
