Barbarity is certainly powerful
at least in space
but not in time.
We saw it with the Third Reich
and the Soviet Union.
Their problem is expansionism.
They can stay alive only at the local level.
We can see it with Cuba, Laos, North Korea
and Vietnam.
But China is an exception.
And its existence as a Big Brother is still a
problem for many states in the world.
When we see the map
just a few decades ago
we could understand evolution.
But we have a lot of work to do even now.
We knew what communist states were.
We knew the Comecon, the Eastern Bloc and
the Warsaw Pact.
And we saw their end.
The paradox is that those states
never described themselves as communist
they are always in the process
of constructing socialism
and often with genocides.
