N. Lygeros

It looks like a paradox but for the first time the annexed regions of Ukraine will be used for the conscriptions of Russia. It means they are going to use Ukrainian people in the territory of Ukraine but now it’s an annexed territory, so they will use them against Ukrainian forces in this conflict. So, this is for the first time that the Kremlin takes this decision and it’s relevant of their mentation because they don’t want to use many Russian military and they want also to use Ukrainians against Ukrainians. What does it mean? It means that they see the cost of the war and they want to use those territories in fact to make more friction. But at the same time we understand that even in Russia they don’t want to use Russian guys from Russia to do this job. We knew that it’s a classical method for the Kremlin but now it’s a new reality and we can see it even in Ukraine, so the paradox is solved, it’s just a question of ideology.
