86007 - Transcription: Frictions between politics and geopolitics
N. Lygeros
As the President of the US is clear because he said that the strong support of the US to Israel is a fact, some people, especially in the US, due to the framework of the elections, are trying now to say the following thing. “Maybe this support is too strong and we have to take care of the Arabic people”. But in reality this is wrong because they don’t care about that, it’s just a way to create a friction to the administration of Biden because for them the most important thing is to avoid to have a problem, a big problem for the elections. They try in reality to change the position of the President using a stratagem in the framework of geopolitics but we can see that at the end, in reality, they just try to put politics in geopolitics and politics of the US and not geopolitics of the world. For them the most important thing is just the elections, so they don’t want from the President of the US to have such position and they want to use this to create more and more frictions in the process and to prove that at the end even the President will have to change his position and to follow them in this new direction. But the problem is that politics is not just a justification for everything. We can see that in geopolitics we have much more strong arguments and we can see that the President of the US, in reality, is still on the path of history and this is good for the Middle East, this is good for Europe and of course for the US. For the elections we have time.
