Influenced by the famous tie of Charles III of the United Kingdom, which clearly refers to his Greek origin through the Greek flag and which is depicted upon this symbol, we ought to understand that things are different to what we have been hearing. We remember exactly what had happened with his grandfather, what had happened with his father, we also remember the issue of the trial of the 6, how they were vindicated through a second trial, and we must understand that while Prince Philip saw Greece in a completely different way, on account of the situation and of course due to his personal history, the new king of the United Kingdom sees things completely differently and he lays claim upon them and that’s why he wears this tie with this symbolism, even when he sees foreign dignitaries and presidents of other states, so he does not do it just because he would see e.g. some Greek politician, he does it with others as well and he claims this position. This is extremely good, because very often in Greece we are wondering how we are seen in regards to this issue, here the King’s position is clear and this makes us happy because no one can say anymore that it is completely incidental or completely internal, he says it quite clearly to everyone and this means that he in actual fact continues the choice which occurred for the funeral of Prince Philip, since the Greek flag was also upon his coffin. This is wise to keep in mind, in order to know how we keep pace with the facts of History.
