50883 - Ankara’s signature was not enough
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias
As if Ankara’s signature
which wanted to erase
every refugee memory
was not enough
we had to find
and abolition
of the Joint Committee
for the exchange
of the populations.
With reference to
Article 11
of the Treaty of Lausanne
on January 30, 1923
and Article 32
of the Ankara Treaty
on June 10, 1930
they decided
not to accept
further applications.
Consequently the Joint Committee
disappeared
8 months
after December 9, 1933
considering that it executed
its barbaric mission.
