The pleasure plays a key role in the History of Humanity. This does not mean that it is the only concept which has an intrinsic value as it was said by the axiological hedonism. The ethical hedonism has an idea of the concept which is slightly different as it talks about how people should pursue pleasure and avoid pain. This is compatible with Tantrism.
