N. Lygeros
It’s important to keep in mind that one way to solve a global problem is to use many local solutions. In fact, what I mean with that is that we have a strategy which can be a global strategy even a grand strategy but it can use many tactical skills. So the idea is to find the target, to find also intermediate targets and to lock them, to fix them and to solve the problem with the kind of greedy algorithm. So the idea is to analyze the problem, to separate the different problems and to solve each of them you know very local way without cost, without any tail as an independent problem. So we will have a strategy which is made by a continuum of tactics. Why can this strategy be efficient? Because it’s very difficult to resist to that is very difficult to organize a defense because you don’t know which point will be the next target. So you have to keep all your forces everywhere but the target of the tactics will be only one point in a very tough way to solve it, to fix it and to avoid a tail and to go to the next one. So we can imagine that in this concept we have many islands and we fix the problem only on one and we go to the other after the solution of the first and in reality we have the application of this continuum of tactics . So we can see it right now we can see also that it’s difficult to find a new solution and by the way it’s another fashion to find a new kind of solution to a global problem which is in fact the use also of the serendipity of the tactics.
