19117 - From the state of subversion, to the energy of the people
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
In the beginning we had no oil, or gas.
Then, some were persuaded by specialists, that finally we have prospects for the hydrocarbons present in the Greek EEZ.
Then followed PGS’s seismic surveys, and nobody longer insisted that we had nothing.
We’ve started the procedures for the big licensing round regarding the 20 marine plots, but some said that it was early.
Later, the European Union’s Gazette published re: the licensing round’s applications, formally adopting it as official, and some said that, that was unacceptable, without of course having read it prior.
In retrospect it was announced that they have no time to change the legislation, as if they could not forsee that prior to their anouncement.
Finally, the big licensing round remains unchanged, although it was initially completely unacceptable. And now we are talking about extending the deadline, in order for other foreign companies to submit their applications, in exactly the same way.
The whole process is of cognitive interest, since it proves that the official institution is not only a state of subversion, but it should be noted, that the subversion is only applicable to its own words.
More practically, the reactivity of the partisanship context stops, where the high strategy of Greece begins.
In other words, after many changes, what occurs, is exactly what Greece had decided from the beginning.
Consequently, it’s now understood by everyone, that the only thing that matters is not the state of subversion, but the energy of the people, as, the Greece of the future will have both, EEZ and hydrocarbons.
