102133 - Spearman’s model
N. Lygeros
Spearman’s model of general intelligence was the foundation. Fluid intelligence (Gf) and crystallized intelligence (Gc) were introduced by Cattell and develloped by Horn. They constitute the Gf-Gc theory. They can be considered as the first step. The second one is three-stratum theory of Carroll with the introduction of memory and learning (Gy), visual perception (Gv), auditory perception (Gu), retrieval ability (Gr), cognitive speediness (Gs) and processing speed (Gt). The next one is the CHC theory which constitutes an integration of the two previous theories. This framework is precious also for Artificial Intelligence.
