12898 - Gifts of God

Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias

There are some texts which we don’t suspect that they have been written in order to provide pleasure. Sometimes, because they have a religious character we find it difficult to sense it, while in fact it is exactly the aim of a good speech. In addition, with the complexity of their projections they allow the approach of simplicity. Because even though there are elements that are too hard to bear, the injustice is that great, they allow us through exceedance to realize the true value of sacrifice.
With the recordings of the scriptures we don’t only have a description, but also interpretations of the explanation. In this manner we see the mosaic and the work in its entirety without getting lost in details that shade the substance. So if we realize that through our life we can read only a finite number of books, why shouldn’t we read books that have proven their timelessness. If therefore, we feel within us, the ramifications of time, we will find it better to understand its role for Humanity.
Consequently, why should we have doubts and reservations regarding the Holy scriptures, when they were written in order to aid people. Then, after the reading, comes the recognition, followed by the disclosure, since the discovery was already made. If we also realize that the non-use of a source of joy and knowledge is an act of barbarism and that the voice of the Master is complemented by the listening of the disciples, we will realize our role as recipients of the works and then, we would want it to spread, in order to continue with the knowledge and joy in order to keep people within humanity so that they are not alone.
