14866 - Outside the hall

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Vicky Baklessi

Outside the hall, a Lady of another era was waiting for the train, which was always on time, as if it were late. She had a distinctive hat with a flower and drew the attention of the Master and the disciple that had both identified her through the window due to her moves. She walked very quickly in a hasty manner, but moved slow, almost in reverse as if she were on the moon. She had left beside her a small chest which hid a whole history. The Master explained to the disciple that Oscar Wilde probably had such a woman in mind when he said that he preferred women that had a past and men that had a future. The disciple smiled because it was the first time he saw that female style, especially among women dressed in traditional dresses that were gathering at the station with little sailors that had just got off their boats.
