17486 - Dealing with bullying
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
Dealing with bullying, is not an individual problem, especially in Cyprus, where we know its meaning on a national level, through the enclaved.
Therefore, at school and especially at younger ages, it is unacceptable for us to wait for the bureaucracy to solve the problems. Likewise, the enclaved can not wait for a collective solution in order to survive, and as we come to their aid, with our support and our actions, we must also help the children who suffer from the education system, which does not deliver adequate services in regard to their protection.
We can not expect of children at that age to make even written complaints, so that their ache could be heard in a formal way. We have a responsibility to become righteous, for the innocent young ones, so, by activating our humanity, we would not allow barbarism to destroy them in each way it sees fit.
When we expect everything, nothing occurs, when we give everything we don’t expect anything. The same is applicable to the school. And the parents are responsible to protect it from invaders. But not only with resolutions but also with actions, so that we don’t end up having guardhouses, where the employee, stands like the soldiers with their backs to the green line, in order to avoid bothering the tranquility of the barbarians because of our resistance.
The parents who brought a child into the world, are responsible for his life even at school, because the righteous protect the innocent wherever they might be.
