There is no need for you to say that you love our islands and then not go there. Especially when they are of the borders, there is no need to speak about non-profit lines. Only when you have been to Kastellorizo, Gavdos, Erikoussa, Agathonisi you speak in practice, now also with Othoni. Instead of leaving the island in the mercy of God, it would be good to support it strategically. Othoni, since the agreement on the continental shelf with Italy in 1977, plays a strategic role in Greece. Therefore it isn’t a detail on the map. We must be careful of Othoni and of our own people and we mustn’t leave them isolated. Othoni plays a role also for the three sea blocks of the Greek EEZ: 1, 2 and 4. And when we know that we have a negotiation to make for the second sea block with a triple consortium, where the two field Pyrros and Achilleas are situated, we can understand even better the objective value of Othoni. It is this we need to emphasize during this whole period without forgetting that owing to the Diapontia Islands, 5% of the gains of the Greek state will be allocated to the Regional state authorities. Let them, as well, invest in Othoni in a practical level.
