When in the strategic field we examine several scenarios within a decision tree, we are well aware that in the end, with our decision we could produce only one reality.
It is therefore important to recognize relatively quickly, or at least before a decision is made, which scenarios are defective, because they can only function potentially, and are unable to realize an actual vision.
Whereas, when we identify a vision which is radically distinguished from the dreams we have, merely so we can have them. . . period, we must battle for it, and must fight to implement it, overcoming every obstacle which derives from certain mentalities ignorant of innovations.
The EuroAsia Interconnector electric cable constitutes such a vision for Hellenism, while it simultaneously belongs to the Program of Common Interest of the European Commission.
Ever since this project was initiated, many experts realized that this constitutes a revolution re: the strategic data, and an innovation for the technical data.
It’s a fact, that we will interconnect Israel with Cyprus and Crete, and thereon with Attica, finally reaching Italy via the GRITA electric cable, which already ensures the transmission of electricity in the range of 0.5 GW, whereas, the EuroAsia Interconnector will transport 2 GW at its final phase.
Consequently, even if many scenarios were heard, the chosen reality is the one that is created through the EuroAsia Interconnector.
