25581 - Theater and intelligent paedea

Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias

In the conventional education system, theater is hardly used and some of the young people have never in actual fact been involved with the theater.
Even though by nature it belongs to the intelligent paedea, not merely because it’s the Mnemosyne of Humanity since Antiquity, but because of the simulation it constitutes.
The theater enables us to live many lives, to examine several scenarios, to study the human characters, and to think of the completion of a project as a team.
Because in theater the human nature and the communication are fundamental elements.
We are not of course talking about the vaudeville type of show which is purely social and an ephemeral production, but regarding the genuine theater, from the ancient, the classical, right up to the experimental.
That theater belongs to the intelligent paedea, and it’s one of the first lessons indeed with regard to the concept of the team.
Additionally, its writing, its directing, but also the scenery, is a form of creation of a parallel world which allows us to express ourselves differently and deeply on matters of substance.
This approach is intertemporal, and that’s obvious by the thickness of history obtained by the theater even since its existence, and that in a formal form.
Consequently, in intelligent paedea, the theater constitutes the key core of teamhood, based on relationships and bonds, and it’s indicative in a practical sense of team exceedance, when everyone plays a role coordinated with others.
Because the theater constitutes a human chessboard, upon which the pieces unite in order to protect the substance produced by intelligence and Mnemosyne.
