26822 - The role of Africa
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
The role of Africa has changed, especially after the decolonization which occurred not only as a result of the liberation movements, but also through the very evolution of the States in democratic regimes
Simultaneously, Europe is somewhat on the borderlines of the matter, in order to have no compunctions for the management of the past and of any reservations of the future.
In this context, China found an opening that was not there prior, and it invests massively in order to change the situation in a radical way, since it is regarding an ecommunistic strike, organized by all appropriate means, so as to result thereon in an absolute dependence as far as the development is concerned.
In actual fact we see that China aims in changing Africa’s role, making a wide range lateral attack towards Europe.
It’s not only dealing with the Middle East, after Pakistan due to India, but it wants to intervene there as well.
Therefore, Africa’s relationship with Europe should be more refined, otherwise there is a clear risk of deterioration.
The focus of the problems in the Middle East is not deriving due to the oil factor alone, and whoever believes that, merely obtains simplistic thinking.
Because in Africa as well, the mineral wealth is of enormous importance, but simply its utilization is not occurring for the benefit of its people, and that’s unacceptable.
As much as it may seem complicated, China is playing in Africa, as Europe played in Indochina.
And if this paradoxical symmetry is not understood, so that the associated effects and consequences could be examined, then we will once again face serious problems, and at the level of Humanity at that.
It is therefore of importance for a diagonal relationship to be also developed with the African countries, because Europe forms an angle between two large surfaces, ie, of Asia and Africa.
That’s why Africa can’t be left alone without bonds.
