28222 - Targets of barbarism
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
It wasn’t enough for the people to remember.
Because the beasts would’ve wiped them out.
The monsters ought to not forget.
To resist against barbarism.
Their intelligence was the protection of Mnemosyne.
And each of them constituted a freedom tower
inside the castle of Humanity.
Within them lived the souls of the innocent
and the victims were dying.
Because they kept their memory alive.
The dead memory was the foundation.
The living memory was the core.
Together they were creating a tower of freedom.
Only then they constituted defensive walls.
And the books they were writing
with all the elements that they’ve integrated
were walls of civilization.
And the civilization was Humanity’s precious work.
Simultaneously, for the same reason, the target of barbarism.
The forbidden ones caused terror to it
and it wanted to destroy them by all means
in order to thereon eliminate the innocent.
It was not accidental therefore that their names
had a symbolism.
Their role was from the beginning for a greater task.
They also knew from the beginning
that they would be the targets of barbarism.
They had nothing to lose
and they continued their fight relentlessly.
Because they would’ve been with Humanity even afterwards.
