28578 - The Sevres Treaty as a resolution of problems
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Vicky Baklessi
Those who speak of the Lausanne Treaty forget that it is inadmissible, because it doesn’t respect the indigenous peoples of Minor Asia. It was made only for the benefit of Turkey and due to phobias and servility. And the problems that exist in Minor Asia are due to the fact that essentially and practically this Treaty hasn’t given any rights to the Armenians, to the Assyrians, to the Greeks, to the Kurds. The problems that the Alewites and the Soufis confront are similar even if they are not of the same type. In any case this Treaty which was problematic from the beginning remains a problem even now. In reality the only rational solution that respects the indigenous peoples is the Sevres Treaty, which has been signed by so many countries and recently by Western Armenia itself.
Because this Treaty knows and calculates the regions that each one lives and does not rely on the facts after the triple genocide but to the previous ones, so that there will be the process of correction, but also the practical return of the territories to those who lived onto those from millenniums. The study of the Sevres Treaty teaches us history, while the Lausanne Treaty is only a compromise of servility after oblivion.
