29391 - DESFA remains Greek
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athena Kehagias
What’s proper is what actually occurred, DESFA remains Greek. After all these unacceptable negotiations which had an aim to disregard the European acquis, it turned out that such violation wasn’t as easy as some politicians were insisting.
Just as well that Greece is a European Union member, or else, there would be no such protection at an institutional level and such deal would have taken place without any problem.
Whereas now, we haven’t handed out DESFA, and that could in turn work for the future of our homeland in conjunction with the Greek EEZ, the East-Med pipeline, and the EuroAsia Interconnector.
Its sale to a buyer outside the European Union, and especially to a country which doesn’t respect human rights and that is constantly causing problems to Armenia with its barbaric actions, therefore the so called negotiation failures was the best that could’ve occurred for our homeland.
Now we have no more excuses for delays in this particular field. And of course we could operate DESFA more dynamically, because during the previous period we were at a standby phase, and that has created a negative context for growth.
Whereas now it’s regarding a real liberation.
