The crime of the Pharisees
is not only
that they condemned Christ
but that they recognized
the Messiah
and they didn’t want
to accept it.
Think therefore
that they don’t expect
someone else
because they’ve killed
the one they were saying
that they were waiting for
as they set up
an ambush
because they didn’t want
for Him to come
and disrupt
the system
of the ruling power
that they had
managed
to impose
upon the nation.
