So many developments are taking place in the Eastern Mediterranean as a result of the hydrocarbons in the region, and in Greece, after so many governments, we haven’t yet established the Greek EEZ.
And although we’ve gone ahead with the large licensing round regarding the 20 marine blocks, the government’s approach, which unacceptably reduced the licensing round range, led us to the fact of having only three nominations, and specifically only two foreign companies within the same consortium.
In other words, while EEZ specialists are struggling for so many years, while hydrocarbon experts are battling for so many years for their emergence within the Greek sovereign rights, the government gives the impression that it’s deaf, and proves that it’s blind, as it doesn’t even observe the Cypriot example, whereas it’s supposedly officially dealing with the solution of the Cypriot issue.
In actual fact, we realize that there is a professional irrelevance in existence, but also an ideological inertia as well.
The weirdest thing re: the matter, is that the government presents itself as an entity which is fighting for the rights of the Greek nation at a European level, whereas it’s obvious that it simply always compromises at the end.
It opts simply to present itself as resistant regarding matters that are simply self-evident.
We are therefore witnessing a comedy which has nothing whatsoever to do with growth prospects.
Unfortunately, because the opposition is in no hurry to take its place, we end up with this huge delay at the expense of the Greek nation.
On the other hand, since the ones who are resistant to this situation are rare and far between, why shouldn’t things just continue as are, even if it is objectively against the Greek nation.
