30663 - The African integrity

N. Lygeros
Translated from Greek by Athina Kehagias

Following the reintegration of Morocco to the African Union, Africa regains its integrity as all the countries of the African continent without any exception, are now members of the Union.
This completion of the union actually constitutes both an internal and an external advantage.
It’s indicative that some key points have been surpassed, and that the outside world as from now, sees Africa as one entity.
So the Union regained its unity.
This doesn’t mean of course that there aren’t any internal tensions and or, even frictions.
Consequently, the network of influence of each, is due to be altered, depending upon the game of relations with Morocco.
What is certain is that Morocco brings an added value within the African Union.
And as its argument has been financially supported, without in any case the Rasd problem to be addressed, which has constituted a strong and serious diplomatic mistake, ie, its opposition to Morocco’s entry, it has undergone internal difficulties.
In actual fact the entire world has observed positively the contribution presented by Morocco to Africa, consequently both friendly and hostile States, because these later ones see the Moroccan dynamism positively, even though they criticize it negatively, because its ability to change some contacts, some relationships and some bonds, is extremely important.
Therefore it compulsorily has to play along with Morocco even though sometimes it may be against it.
Consequently Morocco must stabilize its contact points, in order to be more resistant within the African Union.
Even though some of the aims are quite clear and everyone is aware of what to expect, it’s not necessary to advance matters in the same manner.
It would be wise to have a strategic plan for the future, which wouldn’t be limited to a diplomatic plan.
Because the strategic expectations do actually exist.
But they shouldn’t necessarily all belong to the strategic doctrine, because the invisible is a good thing in substance.
