Following the discovery of a new methodology in regards to the detection of hydrocarbon deposits by the Ukrainian company Geoprom, and after its implementation at the Zohr reserve on behalf of the Italian company Eni, the Hellenic company Flow Energy and Environmental Operations acquired the rights for both Greece and Cyprus.
As a result, it could officially represent Geoprom with Power of Attorney.
This means practically that the Greek technical knowledge in the sector will cooperate directly with companies which will opt in acquiring electromagnetic data re: a target reserve, in order for them to obtain the best technical knowledge prior to making the decision of activating drilling rigs.
Consequently, Greek experts are involved in the utilization of the EEZ’s of both Greece and Cyprus at the most practical level.
And that at a double benefit, because with those results we will have an additional incentive for foreign companies to choose those two countries for research and exploitation.
Additionally, if we add to this fact, the decision for denser seismic surveys to take place South of Crete, then we can all understand that this is a powerful reinforcement of all the efforts which have been made for so many years on.
In this manner, it’s obvious to all by now, that even if we don’t yet obtain an EEZ, we will nevertheless do so, because it constitutes the future of our homeland.
