The application of the joint venture of Exxon Mobil, Total and the Hellenic Petroleum for two regions of South of Crete is finally official. We now have the proof that this part of the greek EEZ is indeed interesting while in the framework of the large public tender of the 20 offshore blocks, we were being told that the absence of candidates in the region was due to the absence of reserves. Now we all see and indeed in the clearest manner that all those who devaluated the efforts for highlighting the value of the greek EEZ, were proven wrong. Also these regions concern, in a distance of course, the issue of the EEZ delimitation between Greece and Libya. So it’s for this reason that in the Masterclass South of Crete the issue worked prophetically since it highlighted the significance of the region and the need for approaching the other state with the new data. The energy achievement of Crete constitutes a change of cycle and not only a change of phase, because it is about an example to follow from other oil companies who are interested for this region which concerns the lybian sea and foresees our action in the Herodotus Basin for the continuation.
