The work of Raphaël Lemkin on the defense of Human Rights, has lead to the creation of the word genocide which constitutes a fundamental part of the United Nations’ Charter of the Rights of the Humans. This has been made possible, among others, by his study on genocide as an act of barbarity.

Thanks to this expertise, Raphaël Lemkin gave permission to the struggle of the Roma to escape from the oblivion which societies had imposed on it and this is why he represents a Righteous for our people. So the Panhellenic Confederation of the Greek Roma “ELLAN PASSE” consisting of 8 panhellenic Federation, officially declares him a Just of the People of Roma.
