37299 - The continuation of the Rallies re: the Skopian issue
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias
The historic Rally of Thessaloniki on the 21st of January 2018, was only the beginning. It was followed by the one in Athens on the 4th of February.
In Munich one will take place on February the 11th, in Düsseldorf on the 18th of February, in Patra on the 25th of February, in Melbourne on the 4th of March. Who could now argue that this constitutes merely a local issue, towards which there is no need to pay attention, since nothing will come of it.
The truth is that the Rallies are increasingly influencing the negotiations even while they continue on with their wooden language in order to conceal mistaken assessments at a strategic level, because diplomacy is not enough
The Greek nation is now aware of exactly what’s happening, and it doesn’t want to let the issue fall behind. Because no one else is going to face up to it.
It’s Hellenism itself which protects its history, because the politicians of the ruling power care more about their ideology than the homeland as such.
Consequently, both the Greeks of the motherland and those abroad, struggle on their own without waiting for anything from the others, because they feel responsible against the history of a Nation.
This battle will not only occur through Rallies, but also through lectures, seminars, etc., in order for everyone to find out what’s going on, what’s the right thing to do, and how we ought to strategically address those ideological challenges of Skopje.
