49261 - What memory of Humanity teaches us
N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Vicky Baklesi
For those who believe that the situation is not serious and that they don’t have to change their habits because for so many centuries they didn’t change anything, they probably don’t have great mnemosyne because the wounds that Humanity has undergone have been recorded in history. So the worst cases to be remembered that we had to overcome with much hardship, are the Plague of Justinian, Black Death, Deadly Smallpox, Cholera, Spanish Flu, the Flu of Hong Kong, AIDS, Sars, H1N1 virus, Ebola. If they have these illnesses in mind then they will understand that the issue with the Coronavirus is of this category and that drastic measures are required for confronting the spread of the pandemia. Let us realize and act in a similar way in order to overcome rationally and strategically this struggle of Humanity without delays in the implementation because the activity of the virus is fast and we must be effective.
