To all those who are wondering what is the role of Gavdos in the context of the EEZ, the answer is simple, since it concerns exclusively the EEZ delimitation line between Greece and Libya. It is not implicated therefore, in any way, either with the EEZ delimitation with Italy, nor of course with the partial delimitation of the EEZ with Egypt. Additionally, because Gavdos offers more EEZ due to its location south of Crete, it is important to recall the positive response of the Libyan Parliament in regards to the two EEZ delimitations we’ve signed. This means that this example of Gavdos is enhancive towards the Greek positions regarding the EEZ, and of course the continental shelf as well.
