that the leaves of the tree
are like the words of a language.
But thereafter
we were careful when a leaf
fell of a tree
because we knew that a word had been lost.
As a result we decided
to collect them
so as not to forget them.

that the Forest was
like Humanity
with all her languages
the dead, the living
and the unborn ones.
Consequently, we saw her depth
in autumn
when we started our collection.
