55551 - The Library Forest

N. Lygeros
Translated from the Greek by Athina Kehagias

We had mever imagined that the Forest
functioned as a Library.
We didn’t know anyone who had read so many books
which would enable him to love an entire Forest.
Thereafter we realized that he was not reading books
but libraries,
that he did not embrace trees
but forests.
We were not aware of what
a natural superstructure was
but we knew someone who was playing
with all the instruments of the orchestra
and who was talking
to all the trees of the Forest.
And now we were inside
in the Forest of the Library .
There were so many words
and we had no wordage to describe them.
However now we knew they existed
and that they lived
within the Thought of Humanity.
When we returned from the Forest with the Miss
our school changed
because now it was requesting to belong
to the Library.
