The young orphaned Armenians
did not ask for the barbaric circumcision
and yet again that’s how they converted them to Islam
and they gave them new names
in order for them to forget their God,
their language, their civilization
But with their humanism
they resisted and sacrificed themselves
so that we can live
free even though we are besieged.
