6815 - The necessity of the Albano-Greek coalition

The Albano-Greek Agreement on the maritime zones may have not been accepted, but as a framework it was a sound movement. Even if it needs correction, it is important that it exists. We must not abandon our effort because the procedural errors can be removed without difficulty. We must focus on the essence, which is a new framework of coalition inside the topological hole of the European Union. It is not therefore a matter of conflict or concern. We should not remain on local areas such as the so-called square kilometers, nor the Ionio 5. The management of this common wealth belongs to the prerequisites not only of a co-operation but also of a coalition. Due to the Soviet Union, Albania had known since 1960 of the existence of oil in the region, which is evaluated by Albanian sources in approximately 4 billion barrels of oil and 1 billion cubic meters of gas. Indeed depth was an issue at the time, however our expertise has radically evolved since then. Consequently, the impossible is no longer valid. Thus the region has acquired a further objective value. At present, as it is located in the boundaries of the European Union up to the accession of Albania, it is important to be separated in a strategic manner, in order not to give the opportunity of exploitation of this condition by external factors. The concern however, is more general because Albania constitutes a paradigm for imitation on the EEZ issue and it belongs to the strategic steps that need to be taken for its establishment. Consequently, the field can easily be converted into a field of action, in order to operate in a catalytic way. These assertions are not arbitrary, on the contrary they are based on the idea that the creation of Albania in 1912 has indeed a meaning for both Italy and Greece. In other words, due to the European Union, there is an enhanced coalition framework, which operates with consistency and cohesion together with the mental schema that we developed earlier. This negotiation does not belong therefore to a zero sum game as it is believed by nationalists from both sides. Moreover, the coalition does not imply identification, but instead mutual respect as to each one’s characteristics. There is therefore no absorption framework by any side. In other words, it is not about an ottoman or neo-ottoman relationship. The one does not exploit the other for their benefit. Albania and Greece can operate in a complementary manner inside the framework of the European Union. If each one remains on racist views that have no meaning to us, nothing will evolve and we will be found in a situation where one external factor could magnify the frictions of the pair. The two countries must understand that European geostrategy exerts influence on the area. In other words, we must be consistent with the mental schemata of topostrategy, which dynamically interprets the developments of the entire European Union. We are therefore talking about two hands that belong to the same body.
