75717 - You need to love somebody

Ν. Lygeros

In the USSR there was always somebody to hate.
And a tool was necessary for that.
The first was the Cheka, the second the State Political Directorate and so on…
The Joint State Political Directorate.
The People’s Commissariat for State Security.
The People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs.
The Ministry of State Security.
The Committee for State Security i.e. KGB.
Everything about hate
in internal security,
foreign intelligence,
counter-intelligence
and secret police
were done by the KGB.
After the end of the Cold War it was officially dissolved.
Its successor was the Foreign Intelligence Service
and even after the Federal Security Service.
But the spirit was always the same.
The problem for Russia
was the need to love somebody
but it was simply impossible
for its system.
That’s why the hate was chosen.
