It’s really funny to see that one of the first critics against capitalism i.e. accumulation by dispossession became a motto for communism. Its metamorphoses didn’t try to apply the notion of equality but to use an equalizer to change the game in a radical way. No regard of the victims, no matter of what way to do it, the essential thing was to do it because it was the only way to save the doctrine. That’s why the accumulation by dispossession was at the beginning a tool which became a weapon to erase all the potential or red difference. In fact it was very useful as an idea in the core of the structure of genocide. Because mass killings under communist regimes was a neutral way to solve any structural problem. The Soviet Union used the Red Terror, mass deportations of ethnic minorities, the Holodomor, the Great Purge and the killings during World War II. The People’s Republic of China used the Great Leap Forward and the Great China Famine, the cultural genocide against Tibet, the Cultural Revolution and Tiananmen Square. And the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia made the purest genocide of the Cold War era.
