N. Lygeros
In this podcast let’s talk about the difference between a natural way of thinking and an exceptional one in the framework of faith. Imagine that you have to follow the source or to recognize the light. What is the difference, what is the point and what can we say about that? If you follow the source, it means that you see it and it is in fact something new. If you recognize the light it means that you were, before this recognition, in another place. You had another mind and you had to change it to recognize this light.
So the point is that when you recognize it, it’s maybe due to a simple advice. So you see the path and after that, you follow the source. On the other side, if from the beginning you follow the source it is because in fact you don’t need any advice everything is obvious and it is really exceptional to be in that case. So it looks like a paradox because the exceptional way of thinking is to follow the source and the natural way of thinking is to recognize the light. For the first you need only your heart, for the second one you need also your brain. So maybe the first one looks easier but in fact it’s easy only for very rare cases. The other one looks difficult but you can manage it. So it’s possible for many persons that just need to see how crucial the change is. In faith we have both cases and they are important at the same level, that’s why we use them as paradigms for the others. So no matter what your choice is and what your possibility is to do it, you have at least two ways of thinking about that and they are both possible. So use one of them and you will see if you are really a believer or not. Because only one of them is able to help you if you really want it. But you need to want if you want to see and as we see only what we get, the exceptional path is not at all natural. That’s why we need to have respect for those persons and not just say that it was easy. It was simple but not simplistic. If you can feel it, you will do it. So feel it and do it.
