81443 - Tabula rasa

N. Lygeros

You say that it’s difficult
to create something from scratch
but you have to remember that
in the philosophy of Locke
the mind in its uninformed original state
is called tabula rasa.
So this expression is in fact
the alter ego of fluid intelligence.
But now imagine this intelligence
in front of oblivion
and what it has to do
is not only to change the world
but to create it.
Tabula rasa is not ex nihilo.
You can use your intelligence.
Don’t give up.
But remember that you need help to do that.
No man is an island.
And the ocean is with you.
Time is with us
but you need to be with it.
Time and intelligence can construct memory.
That’s why
tabula rasa
is the first step.
