84024 - The holism
N. Lygeros
It’s normal that at the beginning the holism looks like an exception and even something strange. But after the level of complementarity, it’s more natural. It’s simply due to the fact that it’s difficult to imagine something without parts. The idea comes from the fact that the analysis is easier than the synthesis. You can see it with the concept of monad … But never mind, who cares … The important thing is that holism exists and this point is crucial. Because it permits to interpret the concept of synergy which is far beyond collaboration. It’s also like the contact where everyone is independent because there is no relation. When there is a relation, you can ask: to whom belongs the relation? When two vertices are connected with an edge, you never ask to which part belongs the edge. But do you define this edge without points? This edge in fact has a characteristic of holism. This is the same for the notions of relation and link. So imagine how important is for the alloy and the blend.
