85188 - The broken memory

N. Lygeros

In the Disciple’s village nobody had
the big picture of the proxy war.
Simple people saw only the opposition
but never the manipulations
even if it was obvious at a strategic level.
This fake civil war was indeed
the first proxy war of the Cold War.
Because it was the first in the postwar period
someone needed to have an innovative mind
to understand the whole situation.
The understanding of the Disciple was restricted
by the local point of view
and the strategy was totally invisible.
At that time,
the broken memory wasn’t only a tool
for the propaganda
but a real weapon for the fake war.
Many people thought that they were innocent,
it wasn’t true.
They were just manipulated by the system
of the Soviet Union in the Cold War.
