85196 - The doctrine of containment

N. Lygeros

The Grand Strategy was decided.
The doctrine of containment echoed
the quarantine of the aggressor policy.
And the Plan was the next step
before the creation of the Organization.
All this is the proof
that there was no trust in the agreement
because everybody knew
the Soviet Union would try
to change everything
even with new crimes.
The position of communism was simple.
It wanted to replace
the black power of the Nazis
with the red power of the communists.
The hate of vacuum
became the hate against freedom
and democracy.
That’s why the doctrine of containment
was indeed relevant.
