Those who say they are concerned with Palestine and are merely observing what is happening with Hamas are making a strategic error. Palestine is not Hamas and Hamas is not Palestine. So if they really want to be involved with Palestine, then they ought to deal with the Palestinian government so as to understand that they do not have the same point view as Hamas at all and they function in a completely different context. Consequently, the attack imposed upon Israel and which is so barbaric, in fact took place for the reason that Hamas wants to come across as having the upper hand, and it is willing to do so, even if it sacrifices a lot of the population in order to succeed, and the issue of trying to destabilize Israel is completely secondary for Hamas, because it has other goals, much more internal.
