85696 - The lost information
N. Lygeros
The lost information was important.
It belongs to a speech made on 23 July 1954.
“[He] remarked
that Britain offered Cyprus to Greece in 1915
and that Sir Winston Churchill in 1907
acknowledged in the Cyprus Legislative Council
the validity of the aspirations of Cyprus
to unite with Greece.”
So he had another proof
that the issue was more complex
than many people thought
and of course with a deep past
which was almost unknown
or lost.
But New York had all this kind of information.
Everything was accessible
to whom wanted to read the past
to understand what to do
in the future
to avoid many traps.
This was also a part
of the mission at the UN
and now he could prove it
without obstacles.
